Do I have to wait for my 1-year check-in to submit a claim?
You don’t have to wait a year to submit a claim if something important comes up but it is best to wait the full 1-year period before your check-in to give any needed repairs enough time to appear while your house is settling. For emergency repairs (electrical, plumbing, or HVAC) call the daytime Customer Care Team at 000.000.0000, for after hours requests please call our emergency line at 000.000.0000.

How do I submit a warranty claim?
The best way to file a claim is to submit a Warranty Request Form online on the SBC Homes website. After doing so, you will receive an automatic response that your submission is being reviewed.
In about 3-5 business days, the Customer Care Team will reach out to you to schedule an inspection for your claim. They will help determine how it fits within the policies of your warranty and assess which materials and trades are needed to make the repair(s).
If the item is eligible for service, We will move forward with repairs. If the item is not covered, We will do our best to suggest an alternative solution, whether that’s recommending an industry professional or providing expert advice.
When/how to winterize hose bibs
Ideally, you’ll want to have this done before temperatures dip down below freezing. Once your system and pipes are free of water, you can turn off your irrigation timers, remove the hose from the hose bib.
It’s important to remember that your hose bib is separate from your irrigation. The shut-off for that system is in the Irrigation Box off to the side of the front yard. For more info refer to your Orientation Guide.
When/how to winterize sprinkler systems.
Right before that first rainstorm kicks in, be sure to shut off your irrigation systems—no sense in watering your lawn if mother nature already does it for you! You’ll also want to make sure you drain your outdoor faucets and irrigation system. For more info refer to your Orientation Guide.
